I love it when the brush leaves traces of its action with paints across the canvas. Thin layers of various brands of acrylic paint.

I like using the Golden OPEN  acrylic paints for studies because they stay workable all day, and dry in time for the next session. Otherwise oil paints are my favourite painting medium.
